Start of the Race - St. Pete

I escape to St.Pete to visit a friend during the cold month of February. We always walk on the bay and look for manatee and dolphins. On this bright morning, we happened on the start of the Helly Hansen Regatta Series. Sailboats were being pulled through the sand and shallow water. The morning sun was sparkling on the surface.. We watched as teams prepared for the race and the horizon was filled with sails. I took time to notice the colors and took lots of pictures. I painted “Start of the Race” when I returned home. I am looking forward to painting more in this series soon.
